Giorgi Vashadze, one of the leaders of the Coalition for Changes, has announced the opposition would inform the public about its next steps during the ongoing protests against the results of last month’s general elections at 7 p.m. in central Tbilisi.
The opposition leader urged the public for “full mobilization” on Melikishvili Avenue, claiming “we will introduce you to the next interesting step”.
The call comes following the dispersal of the opposition’s rally on the location earlier on Tuesday, with 16 demonstrators detained by law enforcement.
The demonstrators call the elections “rigged” and demand a rerun.
