Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has emphasized the country’s deep commitment to Christianity, stating that protecting faith is an integral part of Georgia’s history.
In an interview with the Swiss weekly magazine Die Weltwoche, conducted by the publication’s editor-in-chief and owner Roger Köppel, Kobakhidze highlighted Georgia’s historic Christian identity.
“We take pride in the fact that Georgia is one of the world’s first Christian nations, which is why Christianity holds a special significance for us. We are doing everything to protect our religion. Defending Christianity and faith is part of our history,” he stated.
