The European Union representation to Georgia on Tuesday hailed President Salome Zourabichvili’s work in “defending” the country’s democratic and EU aspirations as “crucial”.
In a social media post, the Embassy said the Ambassador had hosted Zourabichvili with all Ambassadors of EU Member States.
It further highlighted the EU would consider “additional measures” at Council meetings in Brussels next week, amid criticism of the Georgian Dream Government’s actions during ongoing Tbilisi protests against its decision to halt the European Union accession talks until 2028.
