Georgian Prime Minister leaves for New York to attend 77th session of UN General Assembly

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili has left for the United States of America with the members of the country’s delegation to athens the 77th session of UN General AssemblyIn New York. 

 

The Prime Minister will hold bilateral, high-level meetings, on the sidelines of the event, the Government of Georgia press office said. 

 

The Georgian delegation includes Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilia Darchiashvili, Minister of Education and Science Mikheil Chkhenkeli and Head of Government Administration Revaz Javelidze.

 

Georgia’s territorial integrity and regional security issues will be on the main agenda of Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili’s meetings in New York, said David Bakradze, Permanent Representative of Georgia to the United Nations said on Monday , while talking to journalists.

According to the ambassador, the head of the government of Georgia will attend the opening of the 77th session of the United Nations, and later he will address the world leaders during the general debate.

 

UNGA 77 opened September 13, 2022, with High-Level Week taking place September 19-23 in New York.
