Passengers who purchased tickets for the canceled trains will receive full refunds, Georgian Railways confirmed.
The decision to suspend services comes as western Georgia experiences heavy snowfall, leading to significant transportation disruptions. Affected regions include Adjara, Guria, Racha, Imereti, and Samegrelo.
Severe weather conditions had already forced the railway to cancel services on February 25. Meanwhile, an avalanche struck the Rikoti Pass late last night, temporarily blocking the route. While traffic has since resumed, authorities have imposed restrictions for safety reasons.
Passengers are advised to stay updated through official Georgian Railways channels and local authorities as weather conditions continue to impact travel plans.
