Heavy rain and flood on Thursday severely affected Georgia’s eastern Gurjaani municipality, with houses, pharmacies and shops flooded on several roads.
The flood waters of Navtishkevi river washed away the stalls and products of the farmers from the surrounding area of the agricultural market in the central part of the municipality. The water also washed away cars, some of them a few kilometers from Gurjaani.
Part of the municipality is still not supplied with electricity, gas and internet. Restoration works are underway
