The loss of Ukraine in the war with Russia will put the United States in front of a choice – to fight with Russia as the latter will not stop and attack the NATO member states, or allow the dissolution of NATO, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told NBC News on Thursday.
He called on those senators or presidential candidates in the US who believed their country’s aid to Kyiv amid the conflict cost “too much” whether they were ready to go into war with Russia or send their children to the battlefield.
“If Ukraine loses the war, then Russia will not stop and will go further to the Baltic countries, Poland. They [the Russians] will start a war with NATO states. Then the US will have to make a choice: break up NATO or fight,” Zelenskyy said.
