According to French publication Le Point, anonymous sources have indicated that US President Donald Trump is “highly likely” to visit Moscow on May 9 to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The visit reportedly intends to “celebrate a joint victory” following peace negotiations concluding Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Journalists note that this would not be the first time an American leader attends Moscow’s May 9 celebrations. Notably, President Bill Clinton accepted Boris Yeltsin’s invitation and visited Moscow on May 9, 1995, following the fall of the Berlin Wall.
