A 80-year-old was killed in the Akhmeta municipality in Georgia’s eastern Kakheti region after strong winds brought down an iron structure on the street, fatally injuring the man.
The region has experienced strong winds since Thursday, with the natural disaster having caused issues across all eight municipalities.
A number of residential houses have had their roofs torn off, trees and electricity poles uprooted, and infrastructure of public significance has sustained damage.
Strong winds also caused problems in the capital Tbilisi.
