It has not been laboratory confirmed that an individual contracted Covid-19 in Georgia three times, ‘however, it is not excluded,’ Director General of Tbilisi Hospital for Infectious Diseases Tengiz Tsertsvadze stated earlier today.
“We have cases when a patient claims that he got the virus three times. However, they do not have the PCR test results of previous two infections which makes it complicated to confirm it is the tried case of contracting the virus,” Tsertsvadze said.
He stated that contracting the virus two times ‘is not a guarantee’ that the same people will not get Covid-19 for the third time.
The doctor of the same hospital stated yesterday that his patient contracted Covid-19 three times.
He said that the man had a mild form of the virus.
Coronavirus cases began to surge in Georgia starting July, currently hitting 4,500-5,000 daily cases.
