Moldovan President Maia Sandu strongly condemned the latest Russian missile attack on Ukraine, calling for decisive international action to end the war.
In a post on X, Sandu responded to the April 4 ballistic missile strike on Kryvyi Rih in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, which killed at least 19 people, including 9 children.
“Another horrific Russian missile strike on Ukraine. A peaceful neighbourhood in Kryvyi Rih shattered by terror. Children among the victims. Russia does not want peace—its missiles make that clear. Only determined international action can stop Russia and bring this war to an end,” Sandu wrote.
The strike targeted a residential area in President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s hometown, causing widespread destruction and renewed outrage over Moscow’s continued targeting of civilian infrastructure. The attack marks one of the deadliest in recent weeks, as Ukraine and its allies continue to press for a durable ceasefire amid ongoing hostilities.
