The newly appointed Commander of NATO’s Joint Force Training Centre (JFTC), Major General Bogdan Rycerski, visited Georgia on an official working trip, according to Georgia’s Ministry of Defense.
During his visit, Major General Rycerski met with the Deputy Chief of the Georgian Defense Forces, Major General Zaza Chkhaidze, and the Commander of Training and Military Education, Colonel Zurab Kvichia. Discussions centered on the capabilities of Georgia’s Defense Forces, ongoing reforms, and future prospects for collaboration.
At the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC) in Krtsanisi, JTEC Commander Colonel David Gagua briefed Major General Rycerski on the center’s objectives and mission. The two sides also discussed plans for the upcoming “NATO-Georgia 2025” exercise, emphasizing the fruitful long-term cooperation between the training centers and the support JFTC has provided for JTEC’s development.
NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Centre (JTEC) began its collaboration with Poland-based JFTC in 2017, formalizing their partnership in 2020. This cooperation has been instrumental in advancing Georgia’s defense capabilities and strengthening NATO-Georgia relations.
