Wizz Air resumes several flights from Kutaisi

The low-cost Hungarian airline Wizz Air has resumed direct flights, which were suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic, from Kutaisi to Vienna, Berlin and Barcelona.

 

The Georgian Airports Association says that a total of 600 people benefited from the first flights to Vienna and Berlin, which resumed on November 2. 

 

Flights from Kutaisi Airport to Vienna and vice versa are operated twice a week, while to Berlin once a week.

 

Georgian citizens can travel to Austria, including as tourists, in case of vaccination with both American and European and Chinese vaccines. 

 

In addition to the vaccination certificate, it is necessary to present a PCR-test at the border performed in the last 72 hours, or a negative antigen test performed in the last 48 hours. 

 

A citizen of Georgia who has undergone a full course of vaccination will be allowed on the territory of Germany.

 

Vaccines permitted by Germany are: Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, J&J. It should be 14 days after the last dose of the vaccine.

 

Wizz Air also resumed the Kutaisi-Barcelona flight on October 31, which takes place once a week. 

 

Georgian citizens can travel to Spain as tourists in case of double vaccination with any vaccine available in Georgia. 

 

They must present a vaccination document at the border (so-called COVID-19 card with QR code). 

 

It is necessary to fill in the online medical registration form (www.spth.gob.es/create) 48 hours before departure to Spain, and submit the received QR code at the border.
