MEP Andrius Kubilius says that steps should be taken for the integration of Georgia,Ukraine and Moldova to NATO following Russia’s demands to the alliance to break its promise on the membership given to these countries during the 2008 Bucharest Summit.
“Appeasement leads only to more Putin’s threats and blackmail. Georgia in 2008, Ukraine in 2014 and now again. Will the West succumb to Putin’s threats again? Future of those countries cannot be sacrificed! It is time for real EuroAtlantic integration of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova!” Kubilius said.

Russia is building-up troops at Ukrainian borders, creating threats that it may invade more territories of the country.
It also occupies 20 percent of Georgian historic lands and continues creeping occupation since the Russia-Georgia 2008 war.
The Georgian PM is scheduled to meet with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg today in Brussels.
