Hospitalization rate of Covid patients decreases in Georgia

Deputy Health Minister Tamar Gabunia says that 50 percent of beds for Covid 19 patients are free across the country as of now. 

She says that the hospitalization rate, as well as the number of daily infections and active cases are going down.Gabunia says that 148 cases of the new variant of coronavirus dubbed as Omicron have been recorded in the country so far. 

Georgia has reported 3,590 new cases of coronavirus of 39,315 tests, 1,955 recoveries and 67 deaths in the past 24 hours.

1,569 of 3,590 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in capital Tbilisi, while the figure for regions are as follows: 
Adjara – 366 cases
Imereti – 505 cases
Kvemo Kartli – 149 cases
Shida Kartli – 199 cases
Guria – 222 cases
Samegrelo – Zemo Svaneti – 235 cases
Kakheti – 185 cases
Mtskheta-Mtianeti – 93 cases
Samtskhe-Javakheti – 42 cases
Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti – 25 cases
