Erdogan invites Putin, Zelensky to ‘settle a dispute’

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has expressed a readiness to mediate a meeting between Russian and Ukrainian presidents amid current tension at the Ukrainian border. 

 

Erdogan confirmed yesterday that he wants to host a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

 

He said that Turkey is ‘saddened by the atmosphere of war.’ On Wednesday, Ibrahim Kalin, Erdogan’s spokesman announced that the Turkish president had invited the Russian and Ukrainian presidents.
