Georgian PM meets Stadler Rail AG chief, discusses possibility of building train manufacturing

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili has met Peter Spuhler, owner and President of the Board of Directors of Stadler Rail AG, being a world leader of train manufacturing incorporated and operating in Switzerland, to discuss prospects for future cooperation.

 

Projects anticipated by the largest manufacturing in Georgia were discussed, the government of Georgia press office reports.

 

Stadler Rail AG has plans to explore opportunities for building train manufacturing in Georgia which will predominantly focus on the production and maintenance of trains.

 

Garibashvili has promised serious governmental support for the investment. 

 

The favourable business environment existing in Georgia was highlighted at the meeting by Georgian officials, along with current and future reforms that are implemented in the country.
