Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has addressed NATO extraordinary summit online today, dedicated to the Russia-Ukraine war, stating that the Ukrainian people have already shown what they can do, while NATO has yet to show what it can do to save people and if it is  really the strongest defensive alliance. 

“The  world is waiting for you," Zelensky said, noting that ‘please never say that the Ukrainian army does not comply with NATO standards.’ 

He stated that since the outbreak of hostilities on February 24 he has been demanding weapons to save the Ukrainian people. 

“For a month now, I have been repeating one thing: save our people and our cities. Ukraine needs military assistance without restrictions, just as Russia uses all its arsenal against us without restrictions,” Zelensky said. 

He stated that NATO has thousands of fighter jets ‘while it has not given none to Ukraine, It has 20,000 tanks, but has refused to sell even one percent to Ukraine.’ 

“There are nothing worse during the war than vague responses to a request for help,” Zelensky said, 

"I just want you to know: that the alliance still can stop the killing of Ukrainians by supplying us with the weapons we need," Zelensky said. 

He stated that Europe did not remember the ‘black month like this’ since World War II, ‘nor has it seen such destruction and war crimes.’  

Zelensky said that it is an attempt to conquer the whole nation and enslave neighboring countries.
