Booster coronavirus vaccine dose to be allowed for children over 12 in Georgia

The Immunization Council of Georgia has recommended a booster dose of the coronavirus vaccine for children over 12 with chronic diseases.

The category of the children will be able to be vaccinated after the relevant order is issued by the government.

Georgia has lifted all coronavirus restrictions except the wearing of facemasks in transport and medical facilities. 

The country has had 1,655,221 confirmed cases of coronavirus since April 2020.

 

1,637,293 of the 1,655,221 individuals have recovered, while 16,811 have died from the virus.


Pfizer, Sinovak and Sinopharm vaccines are available in Georgia as of today, while the German-US Pfizer can only be used as a booster.
