Georgia records 586 new cases of Covid in seven days, five deaths

Georgia has recorded  586 new cases of coronavirus between May 16 and May 22.

 

Five patients have died from the virus in the reported  period.

 

A total of 113,058 tests were conducted across the country in a week, including 103,058 rapid and 10,568 PCR tests.

 

Georgia has had more than 1.6 million confirmed cases of coronavirus since April 2020.

 

The virus has claimed more than 16,800 lives.

 

As the coronavirus cases have decreased in the country, daily statistics are no longer updated.

 

The country has lifted all coronavirus restrictions except for the wearing of facemasks in public transport and medical facilities.
