UN: Ukrainian civilian casualties since Russian invasion at 10,046

The Ukrainian civilian casualties between February 24, when Russia invaded the country, and June 15 amounted to 10,046 , the UN reported on Thursday.

 

It said that out of the total casualties in the country, 4,481 were killed and 5,565 injured.

 

“This included: - a total of 4,481 killed (1,739 men, 1,159 women, 119 girls, and 125 boys, as well as 40 children and 1,299 adults whose sex is yet unknown) - a total of 5,565 injured (1,133 men, 788 women, 125 girls, and 164 boys, as well as 173 children and 3,182 adults whose sex is yet unknown),” the UN said.

 

It stated that in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions 5,714 casualties were recorded (2,611 killed and 3,103 injured), while in the Government-controlled territory  the figure was 4,820 (2,436 killed and 2,384 injured).
