Death toll climbs to 18 in a Russian missile strike on Ukrainian shopping center in Kremenchuk

The death toll in a Russian missile strike on a crowded mall in the central Ukrainian city of Kremenchuk on Tuesday has killed at least 18 as of now. 

“It is one of the most brazen terrorist acts in European history," Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said following the deadly attack which sparked international outrage. 

Emergency services chief Sergiy Kruk suggested the same day  that at least 59 other individuals received injuries in the incident, while 25 of them were hospitalised. 

 

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24. 

 

Hostilities have been in progress since then.
