At least 18 killed, including two children, in Odessa apartment strike by Russians

At least 18 people were killed, including two children, and dozens injured after a Russian strike on a residential building in the Odessa area, Ukraine late on Thursday, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, confirmed on July 1. 

The Southern Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said a missile attack on Odessa was carried out from the Black Sea, adding that three Х-22 missiles were fired at the Belgorod-Dnestrovsky district of Odessa region from the Tu-22 aircraft of the strategic aviation of the Russian military forces. 


The rockets hit a nine-story residential building. 


Russia invaded Ukraine back in February of this year. 


Hostilities have been in progress since then.
