President awards eight victims in Gudauri helicopter crash with Medal for Civic Dedication

Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili on Tuesday awarded the eight victims in the Gudauri deadly helicopter crash on July 29 with the Medal for Civic Dedication.

Four crew, two rescuers and two paramedics died in Gudauri in an attempt to recover one pilot and his passenger of a paraglider. 

Police are looking into the incident. 

The Georgian Interior Ministry has dismissed allegations that the technical fault caused the tragedy.
