Georgian railway suspends operations for three days

The Georgian Railway said on Tuesday that it would suspend freight and passenger trains for the next three days due to scheduled renovation and maintenance works.  

 

In an official statement, the Georgian Railway suggested that new railway bridges and tunnels were being constructed as part of a $249 million  project, with various substations being updated. 

 

The freight and passenger services were scheduled to resume starting August 12.
