Georgia to host multinational military exercise Noble Partner for the 6th time

For the sixth time, Georgia will host the multinational military exercise Noble Partner, the purpose of which is to increase the readiness and interoperability between Georgia, the US, regional partners and allied countries to ensure a stable and secure environment in the Black Sea region, the Georgian Defence Ministry said on Tuesday. 

An information briefing related to the start of military exercises was held at the Ministry of Defense earlier today. 

This year, for the first time in the history of the training, the representatives of the armed forces of Japan and Sweden will participate in the  exercise. 

 

More than 2,400 military personnel will be involved in the multinational exercise. 

 

The Ministry said that the participants of this year's multinational exercises would include: Georgia, USA, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Greece, Great Britain, Turkey, Slovakia, Norway, Hungary, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Estonia, Poland, Japan, Lithuania-Poland-Ukraine Multinational Brigade and Swedish Armed Forces.

 

The presentation about the training was presented by the Eastern Commander of the Defense Forces - the head of Noble  Partner 2022, Brigadier General Roland Dzneladze.

The briefing was attended by the Commander of the Defense Forces, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, his deputies, the deputies of the Minister of Defense, the defense attachés of the countries participating in the exercise, and foreign experts of the main group of NATO.
