Georgian PM meets new EU Ambassador

Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili met with the EU’s new Ambassador to Georgia Pawel Herczynski on Friday to discuss cooperation and the 12-point conditions of the European Union for the country’s membership candidate status.

The PM claimed that the Government was doing its “utmost” to meet the conditions for candidacy next year, after the EU Council granted Georgia European perspective in June.

The PM also said that the EU-Georgia relations were “at an all-time high”.

Herczynski replaced Carl Hartzell to the post who was accused of “doing little” for Georgia’s membership candidate status by the ruling Georgian Dream party top figures, after ending his tenure.
