Kyiv accuses Russia of committing 48,534 war crimes since outbreak of hostilities

The General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine on Tuesday accused Russia of commiting 48,534 war crimes since the outbreak of hostilities on February 24 of this year.  

The agency claimed 33,135 crimes of aggression and war have been registered, of which 31,900 crimes were related to violations of the laws and customs of war, 73 - planning, preparation or conduct of aggressive war, 30 - war propaganda, and 1,132 - other crimes.

Per the Prosecutor’s Office, 15,399 crimes against national security were also recorded. 

Of these, 10,703 were violations of the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine, 1,675 were treason, 2,257 were collaborationist activities, 129 were aid to an aggressor state, 64 were sabotage, and 530 were other crimes, said the agency.
