Georgian justice minister slams Ukrainian president advisor Arestovych for his comments to “free Georgia”

Georgian Justice Minister Rati Bregadze on Friday slammed Oleksiy Arestovych, the adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine, for his recent comments that Ukrainian combatants should “save and free” Georgia after the defeat of Russia.

Bregadze said tha statement for one of YouTube channels on Thursday, contradicted international law and was of “criminal nature”.

He advised the Ukrainian politician to take a “good law” of international law not to make such “criminal claims”.

Arestovych said that "If we take into account the pro-Russian government in Georgia, which does not have the ability to make decisions and is destroying everything that Saakashvili [former president Mikheil] had created, has brought back the corrupt police, everything is being sold again, all this is driving the patriots left in Georgia crazy, who are tearing their hair out”.

“Thus, we will have to project power there, we will have to save the Georgians, we will have to help the Armenians, help Moldova, help everyone. This is good news. We have up to a million combatants who will have a new job in the post-Soviet space in the near future. This can happen under different auspices, peacekeepers, stabilization and humanitarian operations, everything ensures the establishment of order," said Arestovych.
