Singaporean Indorama Corporation buys 100% shares of Georgian Azot plant

Indorama Corporation, a Singapore-based Asian chemical company has bought 100 percent of shares in the Georgian-based Rustavi Azot plant, which is a major supplier of mineral fertilizers and industrial chemicals in the Caucasus region. 

The Georgian Economy Ministry on Friday said the corporation had been studying the business and economic environment of the country over the years, with its Enterprise Georgia engaged in talks. 

The body said the corporation has plants in 38 countries and employs thousands of people.
