Georgian gov’t to receive €55.6 in loans, grants from EBRD to modernise Tbilisi metro

The Georgian government will receive up to 55.6 million euros from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the modernisation of the Tbilisi metro, the Georgian finance ministry confirmed on Tuesday. 

The body said the loan and grant agreements had been signed by the Minister of Finance of Georgia, Lasha Khutsishvili, and the EBRD's Vice-President for Policy and Partnership, Mark Bowman.

The Tbilisi City Hall will implement the project.
