Gov’t inaugurates new military cadets lyceum for eastern Georgia

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili on Thursday laid the foundation for the construction of the cadets military lyceum in Krtsanisi, a ₾40 million ($15 mln) project, along with defence minister Juansher Burchuladze and other officials from the body.

The lyceum for 400 cadets is expected to cover the eastern part of the country, as the same lyceum has been operational for years in Kutaisi, western Georgia.

The project envisages the building of new constructions like a simulation center, an indoor gym, an infrastructure service office and a checkpoint, while residential and training facilities for 400 cadets, canteen and infirmary buildings, as well as a conference hall and an administrative facility would be “fully reconstructed” in line with modern standards, the government press office said.

The lyceum territory will cover 42 hectares.
