The Georgian government will send rescuers and equipment to Turkey to ensure the aid for the neighboring county in search of its missing people following the deadly earthquake early on Monday, killing more than 500 in Turkey and Syria. 

“Georgia will send appropriate equipment and rescuers to participate in the rescue measures in the next few hours”, the government press office said. 

 Employees of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia will be involved in the fight against the consequences of the earthquake in Turkey, it added. 

The Georgian Foreign Ministry has also opened four hotlines in Turkey for Georgian nationals.
