Kyiv says Russia used 14 drones for latest attack

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Monday said the Russian occupation forces had used 14 unmanned aerial vehicles Shahed to attack the country’s territories earlier today, with 11 of them downed. 

 

Due to the drone attack, the air alert had been announced in almost the entire territory of Ukraine from midnight and lasted for about five hours, until 04:45 local time. An air defense system was launched to repel the drones.

 

The military administration of Kyiv claimed the majority - nine drones - had been  destroyed in the capital's airspace.

 

The regional military administrations and media reported the explosions had taken place in Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Chernihiv, Poltava, Zaporizhia, Kharkiv and other regions. Information about casualties and damage has not been released yet.
