Georgian president wishes strength to Canadian gov’t, firefighters amid devastating wildfires

Georgian president Salome Zourabichvili on Thursday wished strength “to the brave firefighters and authorities of Canada in their fight against the ongoing devastating wildfires”.

“Georgia stands with the people of Canada in this difficult time.”, she said in comments on wildfires that had burnt 3.8 million hectares so far across Canada and forced thousands to evacuate.

Millions in North America are also forced to wear marks due to severe pollution caused by Canada's worst ever wildfire season.
