Georgian volunteer reported dead in Ukraine, found alive

Georgian volunteer Zurab Mushukia, who was reported dead in Ukraine, in Bakhmut, earlier this week, is among the two survivors in an offensive by Russian troops, his co-fighters confirmed on Thursday.

They said it was possible to retrieve the bodies of killed servicemembers and two alive fighters, including Masukhia, after a 11-hour-long operation, after three days of disappearance.

Mushukia last year was severely wounded by Russian troops and decided to return to the battlefield after recovery.

More than 40 Georgia volunteers have been killed in Ukraine since the outbreak of hostilities last year.
