Ukraine's victory in the war with Russia should be such that any attempt by Russia to return to our territory does not go beyond their sick imagination, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Friday.
"We do not believe that Russia will not want to return aggressively even after we expel the occupiers from all our land, but the victory of Ukraine can and must be such that the enemy's attempt to return does not exceed their sick, crazy imagination”, he said in statehood day messages.
Zelenskyy added “this is our statehood - this is our response to the need for security and peace in Ukraine”.
The Ukrainian statehood day was established by Zelenskyy in connection with the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence and was celebrated for the first time last year.
