A foreign citizen has been charged with attempted premeditated murder of his wife and two other individuals in the outskirts of Tbilisi, the Prosecutor’s Office said on Monday. 

The perpetrator drove his car into two individuals, who had attempted to help the victim when the husband was forcing her into the car, and then chased her to sustain injuries with a knife, the body said. 

The crime is punishable by 16-20 years in prison, the body said, and added the two individuals in the incident had suffered “serious injuries”, while witnesses had prevented the attacker from stabbing the woman.
