Georgian airlines granted unlimited access to all Turkish cities

The civil aviation authorities from Georgia and Turkey have reached an agreement to revise regulations, allowing Georgian airlines the flexibility to conduct unlimited regular flights to any city in Turkey.

The memorandum formalizing this update was signed by Givi Davitashvili, the head of the Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia, during the ongoing International Civil Aviation Negotiations held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, under the auspices of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
Under the previous regulations, Georgian airlines were restricted to regular flights exclusively to Istanbul, Antalya, Ankara, and Trabzon.

However, the new agreement removes these limitations, granting Georgian carriers the freedom to operate regular flights to any Turkish city. Turkish aviation companies continue to have the privilege of conducting regular air traffic to all three international airports in Georgia, consistent with both prior and updated agreements.

The International Civil Aviation Negotiations (ICAN) 2023 event in Saudi Arabia is scheduled to conclude on December 7.
