First batch of coronavirus vaccine arrives in Georgia

The first batch of coronavirus vaccine has been delivered to Georgia.

According to UNICEF, Georgia received the first batch of 43,200 doses of AstraZeneca / Oxford vaccine produced in the Republic of Korea through the Kovacs platform.

The vaccine will be redistributed to the regions of the country. The start of vaccination is scheduled for March 15, at the first stage, medical workers will be vaccinated.

In the coming weeks, Georgia will receive another 129,600 doses of the Astrazeneca vaccine. Pfizer-Bioentech's vaccine is also expected in the next phase.
