Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has said Georgia is the leading country among European Union candidate states and outperforms a number of EU member states in many international rankings.
Kobakhidze on Tuesday argued that objective international assessments consistently place Georgia ahead of other candidate countries and, in many cases, ahead of several existing EU members.
"According to all objective assessments, Georgia is the absolute leader, first and foremost among candidate countries, and in most rankings we outperform a number of European Union member states," Kobakhidze said.
The prime minister attributed the country's performance to what he described as effective government policies across multiple sectors.
According to Kobakhidze, Georgia's results reflect strong state institutions, functioning democratic institutions and sound economic management.
He also highlighted the country's recent economic performance, claiming Georgia ranks first in Europe in terms of economic growth.
Kobakhidze said the country's position in various international indices and rankings is a direct result of those policies and achievements.
"These ratings and indices published by highly reputable international organisations are the result of Georgia's correct policies in different directions," he said.
