Georgia’s government administration chief, Levan Zhorzholiani, on Wednesday said transparency remains a priority for the government, following the publication of the 2026 Democracy Perception Report, which ranked Georgia among Europe’s leading countries for government transparency.

Speaking about the findings, Zhorzholiani said the result reflected reforms and policy decisions implemented by the government in recent years.

He said the authorities had introduced measures aimed at making government activity more accessible to the public, including the publication of government decrees, resolutions and official orders.

According to Zhorzholiani, the approach helps reduce corruption risks by allowing citizens and interested parties to monitor government decisions and present their views on them.

“Any interested person can see what decisions the government is making and express opinions regarding them,” he said.
