Tamazashvili highlighted “close and effective relations” between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries

Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili has held an introductory meeting with Israel's Ambassador to Georgia, Walid Abu Haya, to discuss bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The talks focused on existing ties between Georgia and Israel and the importance of further expanding cooperation.

Tamazashvili highlighted “close and effective relations” between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries and reviewed prospects for strengthening cooperation in the security and policing sectors.

The minister also underlined the value of continued collaboration between Georgian and Israeli institutions on issues of mutual interest.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Ambassador Abu Haya thanked Tamazashvili for the discussions and expressed readiness to continue working towards the further development of bilateral ties.
