The leader of the Coalition for Change, Elene Khoshtaria, has issued a statement urging a decisive end to what she describes as Georgia’s “traitorous regime” and calling for a renewed focus on the nation’s core interests and the welfare of Georgian citizens.
Khoshtaria criticized Georgia’s government as “illegitimate” and accused it of working against national interests. She specifically condemned the government’s alignment with Russian propaganda that promotes narratives of a “second front” and a so-called “global war party,” which she claims undermines Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and international standing.
“The Russian propaganda spread by Georgia’s traitorous government aims not only to discredit our international partners but also to weaken Georgia’s statehood and independence,” Khoshtaria asserted. “The illegitimate government in Georgia is acting directly against our national interests and is advancing Russia’s imperialist goals.”
Emphasizing a commitment to end this “traitorous regime,” Khoshtaria called for a reorientation of Georgia’s state policies to serve the country’s national interests and the needs of its citizens.
