Nika Gvaramia, leader of the Coalition for Change, reiterated his demand for the dissolution of parliament and the scheduling of early elections, emphasizing no alternative solution exists. Speaking ahead of a meeting with President Salome Zourabichvili at the Orbeliani Palace, Gvaramia highlighted the ruling Georgian Dream party’s apparent fears as an indicator of the urgency for change.
“The foundation of every decision lies in public protest. Power belongs to the people, and politicians must make the necessary political decisions.
I doubt we will see a concrete decision today, as the decision-maker at this moment is the President. However, one thing is clear to me—parliament must be dissolved, and early elections must be held. Period. I see no other way out. Georgian Dream’s reactions reveal what they fear, which serves as a clear indicator,” said Gvaramia.
The meeting at the Orbeliani Palace involves opposition parties gathering with President Zourabichvili as the country faces ongoing political turmoil and widespread calls for systemic change.
