The Georgian State Security Service on Tuesday said that it had arrested Pakistani national and individuals holdings Iranian-Georgian dual citizenships for attempted murder of a Isareli citizen in Georgia.
The agency said that reportedly an Iranian citizenship living abroad ordered the murder and sent Pakistani citizen to Georgia to murder the Israeli national.
It noted that individuals with dual Georgian-Iranian citizenships had provided weapons and ammunition for the Pakistani citizen, who lived in a rented apartment and was tracking the routes of the Isareli citizen.
The state body stated that weapons and other evidence have been seized and investigation was still in progress to identify other accomplices.
