Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, stated that opposition parties, including the United National Movement and Akhali, will eventually be compelled to enter Parliament despite their current boycott.
In his comments to the press, Kobakhidze criticized the opposition for submitting illegal statements regarding their refusal to join the parliamentary sessions. He argued that these actions were taken to avoid future formal submissions, describing the statements as neither legal nor legitimate.
“Everyone knows that eventually, they will have to enter Parliament. The statements they made about not entering are not valid and were made just to avoid later formalities. They are not legal or legitimate,” said Kobakhidze.
