In the evening of February 28, passengers inside Tbilisi International Airport were instructed to evacuate the premises by officers from Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to reports, the evacuation was announced via loudspeaker, and airport staff directed travelers outside the terminal.
The reason for the evacuation remains unclear at this stage. When contacted for details, Georgia’s State Security Service stated that it was conducting security protocol procedures at the airport.
Authorities have not yet provided further clarification regarding the nature of the incident.
