The Polish Embassy in Tbilisi has warned Polish nationals and investors about unfair practices by some real estate developers in Batumi. According to the embassy, an increasing number of Polish citizens have reported cases of fraud and unethical business practices in the city’s housing market.
In light of these concerns, the embassy urges its citizens to exercise extreme caution when making business decisions related to real estate investments. It advises conducting a thorough analysis of a developer’s experience and reliability, based on their previous projects. Additionally, investors should consider the broader political and economic situation in Georgia, as well as the state of Batumi’s infrastructure development.
The embassy also notes that its ability to assist defrauded investors is limited. In such cases, the only available course of action remains pursuing legal proceedings, which can be lengthy and do not necessarily guarantee a favorable outcome.
