Political analyst David Zurabishvili sharply criticized those responsible for the collapse of the anticipated agreement between former Prime Minister and opposition For Georgia leader Giorgi Gakharia and Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of the political bloc Strong Georgia.
Zurabishvili expressed his frustration, stating that those involved in the breakdown deserve to live under the rule of Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chair of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party and by Irakli Kobakhidze and subjected to the humor of MP Zarqua.
“Whoever sabotaged the Gakharia-Khazaradze agreement deserves to live their whole life under Bidzina Ivanishvili’s rule, with Irakli Kobakhidze overseeing them and hearing Zarqua’s jokes during their leisure time,” Zurabishvili wrote.
He emphasized that such a political gift to the ruling party, already showing signs of serious panic, required a special level of skill and effort.
The political party Gakharia for Georgia announced on Thursday it was unable to reach an agreement with the Strong Georgia opposition bloc in ongoing coalition discussions ahead of the October 26 parliamentary elections, initiated by President Salome Zourabichvili this week.
According to a statement released by the party formed by former Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia, the negotiations to create an alliance have stalled.
Despite the impasse with Strong Georgia, Gakharia for Georgia claimed it remained hopeful about a potential collaboration with the Lelo party, which leads the Strong Georgia coalition, in the future parliament.
